Financial Crime Advisory Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to the business regarding financial crime laws, including AML, sanctions, and anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) regulations.
• Develop and implement best practice legal strategies for risk management and compliance.
• Advise on financial crime compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with applicable laws.
• Support legal teams in representing the bank during litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on regulatory changes impacting financial crime compliance.
• Collaborate with Compliance to deliver training and educate employees on regulatory requirements.
• Identify and communicate risks, ensuring laws, rules, and regulations are effectively reflected in internal policies and controls.

Requirements

• Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Financial Crime risks and regulations (AML, CTF, Sanctions, and ABC).
• Experience using financial crime analytical tools to identify risk patterns, anomalies, and control gaps.
• Proven experience in project management.
• Ability to take risk decisions, define action plans, and implement control enhancements.
• Strong capacity to analyze, summarize, and communicate complex information effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven strategic leadership skills.
• Risk management judgment with the ability to balance regulatory integrity with operational practicality.
• Proficiency in speaking German or French.
• Experience working with FinTech products.
