Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Review and sign off on monthly management accounts across 16 legal entities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during annual statutory audit cycles and group consolidated audits.
• Oversee technical accounting matters including ESOP valuation, capitalization policies, and revenue recognition.
• Manage tax compliance, including corporate income tax filings, GST/VAT returns, and transfer pricing frameworks.
• Handle regulatory reporting, such as MAS reports, and ensure appropriate corporate insurance coverage across all geographies.
• Support corporate governance by liaising with corporate secretaries on annual returns and statutory filings.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights, variance analysis, and support the annual budgeting cycle.
• Review non-standard commercial contracts to flag compliance risks and commercial implications.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or professional certification (CA, CPA, or ACCA).
• 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably within a Big Four firm, fintech, or tech company.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Xero, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
