Partly's mission is to connect the world's parts by building the first global platform for replacement parts, starting with auto parts. Founded by ex-Rocket Lab engineers, the company provides scalable digital infrastructure to some of the world's largest businesses and startups.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting function, including revenue recognition, month-end/year-end close, and consolidated reporting.
• Manage tax and statutory compliance across NZ, UK, and other growing geographies.
• Run operational finance workflows including payroll, vendor payments, billing, and treasury.
• Evaluate and implement finance infrastructure and ERP systems to scale to Series C and beyond.
• Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring consistency and quality in delivery.
• Partner cross-functionally with billing teams and external auditors/tax advisors.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA or equivalent) is a hard requirement.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller running a full function.
• Experience managing multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction complexities (e.g., transfer pricing, intercompany transactions).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge in revenue recognition and statutory compliance.
• Background in a fast-moving scale-up or startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional services grounding (Big 4 or mid-tier firm) followed by in-house experience.
• Experience with ERP implementation.
• Familiarity with SaaS or marketplace business models.
• A mindset focused on financial operations automation and technology.
