Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO to ensure financial integrity, statutory compliance, and operational control across all trading divisions.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
• Supervise end-to-end accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, and Treasury, ensuring timely month-end closures.
• Manage detailed costing and margin analysis, specifically tracking wastage, breakage, and price discounts for perishable goods.
• Oversee cashflow forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital optimization (DSO, DPO, and inventory days).
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and FTA guidelines.
• Manage ERP integration and automate financial reporting and dashboards.
• Supervise, coach, and develop a finance team of direct and indirect reports.

Requirements

• US CPA or UK Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8–12 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE food, FMCG, or F&V trading industry.
• Strong ERP background with the ability to automate reporting and dashboards.
• Proven expertise in margin control, tax compliance, and working capital optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working at a Big 4 Audit firm.
