Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Maintain and improve scalable accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Program Management to improve financial visibility
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, external audits, tax filings, and investor reporting
• Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and process automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, technology, aerospace, manufacturing, or hardware
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
• Experience developing internal controls and improving accounting processes
• Proficiency with modern ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work extended hours/weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation
• Experience supporting venture-backed startups or rapidly scaling companies
• Experience with manufacturing, inventory, or project accounting
• Familiarity with government contracting, FAR/DFARS, or aerospace accounting requirements
• Experience supporting annual audits, financial due diligence, and fundraising activities
