Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger and lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with US GAAP
• Manage US federal and state corporate tax, international tax, quarterly estimates, and cross-border entity structures
• Oversee payroll compliance, including payroll taxes, filings, and PEO/provider relationships
• Lead annual audits, financial statement preparation, investor updates, and due diligence processes
• Build and automate scalable finance processes across accounting, billing, and reporting to reduce manual work
• Implement internal controls and management dashboards to support strategic decision-making

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience, including a background in Big 4 or public accounting
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, including revenue recognition, accruals, and capitalization
• Strong knowledge of US and international tax regulations and transfer pricing
• Experience managing multi-entity structures and complex reconciliations
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
• Extreme attention to detail and comfort with ambiguity
