Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all aspects of the Finance and Accounting Department to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Maintain robust financial control and governance across real estate, development, and operating entities.
• Safeguard balance sheet integrity, including property assets, work in progress, and capital commitments.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning for real estate portfolios and hotel developments.
• Analyze project feasibility, ROI, and IRR to support capital allocation and investment decisions.
• Exercise financial control over construction and development contracts, including payment certifications and variations.
• Partner with legal, procurement, and project teams to assess contractual risk and financial exposure.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements related to property and construction activities.

Requirements

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• 7–10 years of finance experience, specifically within real estate, development, or construction-led environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, particularly regarding real estate assets and construction contracts.
• Advanced capability in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Hands-on experience in contract accounting, cost control, and project-based financial management.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
