Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end financial accounting for all India entities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial results
• Oversee monthly close processes, management accounts, and variance analyses
• Establish and manage the regulatory finance framework for new regulated entities
• Ensure compliance with RBI, SEBI, and other regulatory reporting obligations
• Manage statutory audits, corporate tax filings, GST, transfer pricing, and Companies Act compliance
• Oversee payroll-related statutory requirements including TDS, PF, and gratuity
• Establish scalable processes for accounts payable, receivable, treasury, and banking
• Provide financial insights, budgeting, and forecasting support to the India leadership team
• Lead finance workstreams for entity set-up, including bank accounts and capital planning

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8–12+ years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Strong technical expertise in financial control, statutory reporting, and Ind AS
• Experience in regulated financial services, fintech, capital markets, or brokerage sectors
• Proven ability to establish processes and controls in a growth or build-out environment
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience engaging with auditors, regulators, and senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to IFRS is advantageous
