Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager and leadership team to support financial strategy and decision-making
• Deliver accurate weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports to Accor and ownership groups
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning processes
• Oversee payroll operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with legislative requirements
• Provide financial guidance regarding Management Agreements and HMA compliance
• Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, controls, and reporting processes
• Support department heads with financial analysis and commercial insights to improve profitability
• Ensure compliance with Accor financial policies and all relevant statutory requirements

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
• CA or CPA qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax, superannuation, and National Employment Standards
• Proficiency in accounting and payroll systems; experience with Sunsystems, PurchasePlus, or OperaCloud is highly regarded
• High attention to detail and a strong commercial mindset
• Ability to undergo a State Police Check
