Financial Audit Consultant

About the Company

We are building an AI-native platform for financial statement audit — one where an AI agent reads an audit workpaper, identifies the relevant assertions, evaluates evidence quality, flags potential misstatements, and generates GAAS-defensible documentation automatically.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated workpaper interpretations against real audit standards
• Define ground truth across account types and audit areas including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and inventory
• Challenge the AI's risk and exception logic regarding substantive procedures and misstatements
• Shape the product roadmap by identifying gaps between auditor needs and system output

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on financial statement audit experience
• Big 4 or equivalent top-tier firm background
• Deep working knowledge of GAAS, AU-C standards, and PCAOB
• CPA certification
• Experience spanning multiple audit areas and account types

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading audit engagements for mid-to-large cap companies
• Former senior associate or manager level experience
• Exposure to audit analytics or audit technology platforms
• Intellectual interest in AI application within regulated workflows
