Financial Assistance Advisor I-Front Counter

Responsibilities

• Counsel students and families on financial assistance resources, eligibility requirements, and university costs in a front-counter environment.
• Provide assistance via Zoom, phone, and email to support the financial assistance application process.
• Review and explain university costs and track all interactions within the system.
• Scan and index paperwork into the database and verify scan effectiveness.
• Manage the Office of Financial Assistance resource center, including updating materials and training student workers.
• Support the larger service team with communications, form enhancements, and website content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (additional education may be considered in lieu of required experience).
• One year of customer service experience in an office or relevant environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and patience while working with diverse communities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with financial assistance or student services.
• Experience using BANNER or SQL.
• Fluency in Spanish.
