Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and value potential development sites using land residuals and development proformas.
• Perform financial underwriting for income-producing commercial real estate using Direct Cap and DCF analysis.
• Create, summarize, and present complex financial modeling scenarios and commentary on various assumptions.
• Review and interpret real estate documents including leases, appraisals, rent rolls, and zoning bylaws.
• Develop content and prepare presentation packages and offering memoranda for clients.
• Coordinate with debt and equity teams to underwrite various financing scenarios.
• Analyze mortgage documents regarding prepayments, yield maintenance, and defeasance.
• Participate in client pitch presentations and lead discussions on financial modeling.

Requirements

• 2+ years of underwriting experience, preferably in commercial real estate.
• Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and expertise in financial modeling (IRR, DCF, Cash on Cash).
• Strong analytical and research skills with high attention to data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
