Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze financial data to support the Fiscal Services department
• Prepare financial reports, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
• Assist with preparing work papers for annual audits
• Develop and review budgets and analyze grant filings
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable review and approval processes
• Manage annual vendor reviews, 1099 preparation, and yearly escheatment
• Perform system testing and research accounting issues
• Assist with fixed asset reviews and calculate financial estimates
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations and assist with special projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Three years of accounting and/or public finance experience
• Thorough working knowledge of public finance, budgeting, and fund accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills and general computer literacy
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service to internal and external clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with collection activities and grant administration
• CPA license
