Financial Analyst II

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including high-volume batches, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations and investigate financial variances
• Analyze financial data and trends to support reporting and explain fluctuations
• Prepare financial reports and support month-end and year-end processes, including audits
• Manage invoicing and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate allocation of OHIP and other payments
• Collaborate with the billing office and software providers to ensure accurate payment recording
• Identify accounting issues and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
• Provide bookkeeping support and cross-functional assistance for assigned programs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• 2–5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance environment
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a healthcare environment is considered an asset
