Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute monthly payout reports for internal brokers and customer profitability reporting.
• Create and maintain internal dashboards for customer profitability and financial analysis.
• Update variance analysis reports and enhance financial models to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Analyze monthly financial results to investigate inconsistencies and variances.
• Assist in the month-end close process, including reporting and consolidation activities.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate financial reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC) and internal risk frameworks.
• Support various ad-hoc projects, presentations, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial modeling capabilities.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting processes, procedures, and GAAP.
• Experience working within a regulated financial environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in-office at our Chicago location at least 4 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Essbase, SmartView, or PeopleSoft software.
• Proficiency with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, or Power Pivot.
