About the role
Responsibilities
- Support financial planning, reporting, and budget tracking for the Engineering function
- Meet regularly with engineers and technical staff to gather data and understand resourcing needs
- Analyze financial data, track variances, and provide spend visibility to team leads
- Facilitate communication between Finance and Engineering to ensure intuitive financial processes
- Support the broader Finance and Accounting teams during monthly and quarterly close processes
- Adapt to new challenges and ad-hoc analytical requests as the company scales
Requirements
- Up to 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related analytical role
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field
- Strong foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Experience partnering with engineering teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status (required for export control compliance)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive, service-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a startup or high-growth company environment
- Engineering background or a strong personal interest in hardtech and hardware development
- Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
