Financial Analyst - Engineering

Responsibilities

• Support financial planning, reporting, and budget tracking for the Engineering function
• Meet regularly with engineers and technical staff to gather data and understand resourcing needs
• Analyze financial data, track variances, and provide spend visibility to team leads
• Facilitate communication between Finance and Engineering to ensure intuitive financial processes
• Support the broader Finance and Accounting teams during monthly and quarterly close processes
• Adapt to new challenges and ad-hoc analytical requests as the company scales

Requirements

• Up to 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related analytical role
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field
• Strong foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Experience partnering with engineering teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
• U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status (required for export control compliance)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive, service-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a startup or high-growth company environment
• Engineering background or a strong personal interest in hardtech and hardware development
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
