About the role
Responsibilities
- Participate actively in the budgeting process for research projects, including administration, operational expenses, and CAPEX.
- Maintain and upload budget figures and reporting data in the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics D365).
- Execute monthly monitoring and financial analysis of research project expenses (Budget vs. Actuals) to prevent over-expenditure.
- Prepare and report monthly and quarterly project financial information, including deviations and forecasts.
- Collaborate with various organizational departments to obtain accurate data for forecasting and analysis.
- Prepare accurate financial reports in compliance with international standards and agreements.
- Contribute to the development of reporting templates and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information and support institutional research projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial, Accounting, Budget, Forecast, and G&A Analysis.
- Proven experience using ERP financial modules and managing large databases.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI (Business Intelligence Dashboards).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify project finance opportunities.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level) with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Project Finance within NGOs, non-profits, or international organizations.
- Familiarity with managing awards from international funders such as USG, EU, Gates Foundation, or GIZ.
