Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Act as a finance business partner for operational areas, managing costs and investments.
• Elaborate and review budgets and 5-year plans in compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform monthly forecast reviews, identifying risks and opportunities regarding costs, expenses, and investments.
• Analyze performance (actual vs. budgeted) and identify root causes for deviations.
• Manage operational cost routines and present results to drive performance through early decision-making.
• Create and monitor technical-financial KPIs to support operational decision-making.
• Reconcile operational information with business unit reports using PowerPoint and Power BI.
• Conduct cost meetings with coordinators, managers, and engineers to implement mitigation plans.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Economics, or Administration.
• Experience in cost management and control (fixed and variable).
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Experience in a mining environment, including contract and operational cost control.
• Proficiency in intermediate Excel and SAP (queries/reconciliations).
• Intermediate knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) for analysis and storytelling.
• Knowledge of Hyperion.
