Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership, planning, and analysis to support organizational and business unit goals
• Perform target setting, reporting, forecasting, and corporate financial direction
• Analyze financial risks and opportunities to provide insights that influence business decisions
• Assist in creating reports to support financial analysis across the organization
• Support budget preparation, including the development of annual 5-year budgets
• Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of financial information in compliance with policies and regulations
• Identify gaps in documentation, training, and reporting to drive process improvement
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal management and corporate partners

Requirements

• B.S./B.A. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Basic understanding of GAAP and FASB principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills for training and presenting complex processes to peers and managers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in budgeting, finance, or accounting
• Experience working with the Oracle suite of applications or PowerPlan
• Experience in the utility industry or a similar highly regulated sector
• Familiarity with Power BI and other financial query and analysis tools
