About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial aid operations including application review, verification, packaging, and disbursement
  • Ensure compliance with Title IV federal, state, and accreditor regulations
  • Counsel students and families on financial aid options, eligibility, and borrower responsibilities
  • Manage financial aid systems and ensure data integrity within the student information system (SIS)
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate financial aid staff
  • Prepare for internal audits and federal program reviews

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field (Bachelor's preferred)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in postsecondary financial aid administration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Title IV federal financial aid programs and regulations
  • Hands-on experience with COD, NSLDS, EdExpress, and EdConnect
  • Experience with financial aid management systems and SIS
  • Proven experience supervising and developing staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a private, for-profit, or career-focused institution
  • Familiarity with California state aid programs (CSAC - Cal Grant)
  • Experience with Veteran Administration (VA) benefits and serving as a School Certifying Official (SCO)
