Financial Administrator I, Retail Alternatives

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex financial statements and SEC filings (Forms N-Q, 10-K, 10-Q, N-CSR, etc.) for retail alternative clients including BDCs, REITs, and interval funds.
• Compile quarterly reporting materials for Board Members and ensure accuracy in audit deliverables.
• Analyze and reconcile investment activity, including cash, expenses, income, and gains.
• Monitor fund performance and distribute information to clients using internal tracking systems.
• Manage fund budgeting, including adjustments for asset fluctuations and expense monitoring.
• Calculate monthly management fees and process fund expenses in alignment with contractual terms.
• Ensure all financial results and disclosures are compliant with applicable accounting standards and SEC regulations.
• Provide guidance and training to junior associates and perform preliminary reviews of work products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in fund accounting or fund administration.
• Strong knowledge of retail alternative investment products (BDCs, REITs, tender offer funds, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
• Understanding of stocks, bonds, options, foreign securities, and derivatives.
