Financial Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of individual contributors supporting financial accounting functional areas
• Identify opportunities for process automation and improvements in accounting tasks, systems, and records
• Manage the identification and resolution of reconciliation breaks and aging schedules
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management protocols
• Mentor direct reports and assist in talent development and hiring
• Collaborate with business partners, including upstream data providers and downstream customers
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure adequacy of process documentation

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Risk Reporting
• 1+ years of leadership or people management experience
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and reconciliation processes
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including macros, pivot tables, and Vlookups
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA/CA or a Bachelor's/MBA in Finance, Accounting, or Business
• Experience supporting securities operations in a controls or reconciliation environment
• Proficiency with automated reconciliation tools such as Intellimatch, Snapshot, or TLM
• Experience with automation and data tools like Alteryx or Power BI
• Expertise in reconciliations for broker-dealer entities involving multiple CIB products
