Financial & Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting activities including accounts payable, receivable, and monthly closings
• Prepare, coordinate, and monitor budgets and forecasts with variance analysis
• Produce and present monthly financial reports for local management and HQ
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and group policies
• Monitor and control project-related budgets and financial tracking
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Manage the finance and accounting team
• Advise on Spanish financial and legal requirements related to R&D subventions and grants
• Manage documentation and reporting for public funding programs
• Leverage data-driven approaches to build business intelligence reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred
• Knowledge of IFRS and Spanish accounting standards
• Understanding of Spanish tax regulations and compliance
• Fluency in English and Spanish (or willingness to learn Spanish)
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial management tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Located in or willing to relocate to Barcelona
