About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the EOC Finance desk, supervising Purchasing, Fiscal, Travel, and Budget Units
- Develop staffing patterns to support SERT activities
- Track event costs with state finance offices and compile daily cost estimates
- Report mission costs to the SERT Chief and SCO
- Purchase necessary items for SERT and secure food vendor contracts
- Monitor and document personnel overtime and resolve issues
- Support SERT demobilization with financial closeouts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (relevant experience may substitute)
- Experience within the Incident Command Framework at state or federal levels
- Experience working in an Emergency Operations Center or disaster response
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel
- Completion of required training: IS-100, IS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, IS-700, IS-800, E/G/L-0191, E/L-0958, O-0305
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of professional experience in emergency management
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Emergency Management
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Proficiency with Web EOC
- ICS position-specific certification
