Finance Operations Excellence Specialist

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and implement process improvements across finance operations including AP, AR, GL, payments, and reconciliations.
• Execute Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Kaizen events independently to drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Leverage data analytics to identify trends and root causes using Lean methodologies.
• Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and overall process health.
• Lead cross-functional projects involving finance, product, tech, and business teams.
• Automate manual processes using Excel macros, RPA, workflow tools, and other digital solutions.
• Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials using BPMN standards.
• Implement internal controls and quality assurance measures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience driving improvements within finance operations.
• Proven experience with process mapping, reengineering, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Solid understanding of finance operations processes, specifically OTC, PTP, and RTR.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and perform root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a tech or e-commerce environment.
• Proficiency in creating Excel macros for automation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and automation tools (RPA, Alteryx, UiPath).
• Professional certifications such as CA, PMP, or CPA.
