Finance Officer

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile financial returns from City out-centres
• Administer security bonds, deposits and verge bonds
• Perform monthly reconciliations across bonds, suspense accounts, credit cards and other financial records
• Process and validate supplier invoices and credit notes
• Manage utility accounts and related financial transactions
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to finance-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Monitor shared mailboxes and provide timely customer service
• Support process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
• Provide cross-functional support across Revenue and Expenditure Services

Requirements

• Minimum three years' experience in bookkeeping, accounts or finance administration
• Sound knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures
• Strong reconciliation and financial processing experience
• Working knowledge of GST legislation
• Experience using computerised accounting systems and reporting tools
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TechnologyOne
• Knowledge of Local Government finance practices
