Finance Manager

Responsibilities

• Own statutory compliance and financial reporting in Japan
• Support the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
• Lead, coach, and develop a finance team of 2–3 members
• Oversee compliance with Japanese regulatory requirements including Consumption Tax and Corporate Income Tax
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and prepare financial statements
• Prepare and monitor short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts
• Act as a key finance stakeholder in D365 implementation and finance transformation projects
• Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks and support audit readiness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders

Requirements

• 6–10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting
• 2–3 years of people management experience
• Strong knowledge of Japanese taxation, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
• Proven experience with ERP systems, preferably D365
• Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken)
• JCPA or USCPA preferred; MBA in Finance is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience in transformation projects or system implementations
• Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, and international environment
