About the Company

Roadrunner is replacing broken CPQ software with a new agentic stack called PQA (Prompt, Quote, Approve). Backed by Kleiner Perkins, the team consists of experienced founders and engineers from companies like Snowflake, Databricks, and Meta.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first finance hire, owning financial health end-to-end and building the function from the ground up
• Set up financial systems, reporting, and processes for leadership visibility
• Own the financial narrative for the board and investors, including runway, burn, and growth
• Partner with Sales on deal economics and assist leadership with headcount and budget decisions
• Manage financial operations and build FP&A models, including budgets and scenario plans

Requirements

• Experience running finance at a high-growth startup
• Ability to operate as both a hands-on operator and a high-level strategist
• Strong judgment regarding building, buying, or outsourcing functions
• Ability to create structure in ambiguous environments
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate for in-person work

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as the first finance hire at an early-stage company
• Multi-disciplinary experience across accounting, FP&A, RevOps, and compliance
