Finance Manager

Responsibilities

• Run end-to-end in-house bookkeeping for entities in DATEV Rechnungswesen (AR/AP, banks/cash, accruals/deferrals)
• Lead the migration of accounting data and workflows from external bookkeepers to a structured DATEV environment
• Own data consolidation across entities, including intercompany billing and reconciliations
• Drive tool setup and integration, connecting Yokoy and other systems with DATEV
• Design standardized procure-to-pay and expense workflows with clear audit trails
• Deliver timely financial data and manage relationships with external tax advisors

Requirements

• Proven ownership of German entity bookkeeping within DATEV Rechnungswesen for a GmbH
• Experience with VAT returns under HGB and German VAT rules
• Demonstrated success transitioning from external bookkeepers to in-house setups
• Hands-on experience integrating spend/expense tools with DATEV
• Strong intercompany and multi-entity experience including monthly reconciliations

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to German payroll accounting processes
• Experience collaborating with tax advisors and auditors
• Proficiency with DATEV Unternehmen online and light automation
