Finance Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in alignment with DFAT agreements and Abt requirements
• Monitor expenditure against budgets to identify variances, risks, and financial pressures early
• Produce timely and accurate financial reports for DFAT, Abt management, and internal governance forums
• Oversee financial aspects of grants management, including budgeting, disbursements, and acquittals
• Perform monthly reimbursable invoice reconciliations and manage vendor payment compliance
• Provide practical guidance to program teams on expenditure tracking, financial processes, and risk management
• Ensure financial integrity, accountability, and value for money across all program activities

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, business, risk management, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting for complex programs
• Experience in financial risk management, compliance, and internal controls
• Experience in grants management and expenditure tracking
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to propose practical mitigation strategies for financial risks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• High level of organization and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with DFAT or other donor-funded clients
• Experience in international development or government-funded program contexts
