Finance Intern

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and automate tools for vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and contractor payments
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure clean GL entries
• Clean up historical books of accounts by rectifying misclassified entries and updating ledgers in Zoho Books
• Prepare documentation for GST, TDS, ROC, and RBI (FLA filing) in India
• Maintain an updated compliance calendar and track all deadlines
• Organize statutory registers, board resolutions, and meeting minutes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (BCom/BFM/BAF or Semi-qualified CA)
• Basic knowledge of Finance, Accounting, and Audit principles
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
• Understanding of GST, TDS, and basic corporate compliance
• Meticulous attention to detail and a highly organized approach to data
• Interest in the space sector and Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) business models

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cross-border compliance involving US and India entities
• Working knowledge of accounting software, specifically Zoho Books
• Hands-on experience with payment processing and passing journal entries
