Finance Controller

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end month-end process, including the preparation of financial statements and monthly management accounts.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and lead, coach, and develop the finance team.
• Take full accountability for treasury, cash flow management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Drive compliance across FTA, VAT, corporate tax, and statutory financial audits to ensure the division is audit-ready.
• Build and enforce robust internal controls and policies to safeguard assets during rapid scaling.
• Manage external audit relationships from initial planning to final sign-off.
• Optimize accounting procedures through automation and system improvements.
• Shape vendor strategy and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior managerial role.
• Proven experience with multi-entity regional corporate structures and complex financial consolidations.
• Strong knowledge of GCC taxation, corporate tax, and statutory compliance.
• Mastery of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Professional accounting designation is required (CA, ACCA, or ACA).
• Master's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in modern cloud-based ERP systems and data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in logistics, high-growth tech startups, marketplaces, fintech, or proptech environments.
