About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly headcount and payroll forecasting, including variance analysis against budget and prior forecasts
  • Partner with HR and business leaders on workforce planning, hiring plans, and organizational changes
  • Monitor and control labor costs and ensure accuracy of monthly payroll accruals
  • Own month-end close activities related to headcount and payroll, including accrual validation and management reporting
  • Analyze headcount movements such as hires, attrition, and transfers to provide actionable insights
  • Support the annual budgeting process for headcount and payroll across all departments
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for workforce cost planning and scenario analysis
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT to improve systems, processes, and data integration
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and internal controls

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, with specific exposure to payroll, headcount planning, or FP&A
  • Strong financial modeling skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and fundamental accounting principles
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing or large-scale operations environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA)
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment
