About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly headcount and payroll forecasting, including variance analysis against budget and prior forecasts
- Partner with HR and business leaders on workforce planning, hiring plans, and organizational changes
- Monitor and control labor costs and ensure accuracy of monthly payroll accruals
- Own month-end close activities related to headcount and payroll, including accrual validation and management reporting
- Analyze headcount movements such as hires, attrition, and transfers to provide actionable insights
- Support the annual budgeting process for headcount and payroll across all departments
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for workforce cost planning and scenario analysis
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT to improve systems, processes, and data integration
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and internal controls
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, with specific exposure to payroll, headcount planning, or FP&A
- Strong financial modeling skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and fundamental accounting principles
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders across cross-functional teams
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing or large-scale operations environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA)
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
