Finance Associate

Responsibilities

• Perform daily P&L, cash, and position reconciliations
• Execute month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation
• Utilize automated tools including Unix, SQL, and Python scripts for reconciliation
• Assist with external audits and Indian GAAP financial statement preparation
• Collaborate with the Tax team on return filings and data provision
• Manage cash and collateral functions, including bank reconciliations and cash flow projections
• Prepare regulatory submissions for SEBI, banks, and exchanges
• Assist in capital infusion and repatriation processes
• Design and create automated management reports using SQL

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 3-5 years of accounting experience in a SEBI-regulated entity
• Strong understanding of Indian GAAP (IndAS)
• Proficiency in Excel, with VBA or SQL experience preferred
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to work occasional US business hours and travel to NYC for training

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of US GAAP
• Experience at a Big 4 or large international firm
