Finance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth day-to-day finance and accounting operations for the KOICA MNCH project in compliance with partnership, donor, and government requirements.
• Process all project payments on time and ensure they are accurately recorded in the finance system.
• Maintain organized filing systems for all transaction documents, vouchers, and supporting evidence to ensure audit readiness.
• Support the Senior Grant Finance Officer in validating financial transactions and ensuring documentation meets donor standards.
• Prepare timely cash requests to ensure sufficient project funding is available.
• Assist in asset management by maintaining accurate asset listings and registration.
• Support the finance and operations teams in responding to auditor queries during field work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and general accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English and Filipino.
• Willingness to be based in Eastern Visayas.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CPA.
• Previous experience working on grant-funded projects.
• Proficiency in local languages spoken in Eastern Visayas.
