Finance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable
• Enter financial data accurately into accounting software and spreadsheets
• Assist in the preparation, verification, and processing of invoices
• Manage expenses, ensuring timely payment of bills and accurate accruals
• Perform daily sales reconciliation and bank reconciliation tasks
• Maintain organized records of financial documents
• Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and audits
• Manage administrative purchases and provide general store support

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Basic knowledge of financial statements and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics MVBC
• Previous experience in the retail industry
