Finance and Budget Analyst

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of treasury management, endowment operations, debt, and bank reconciliations
• Serve as a key liaison for all internal and externally funded grants
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and the analysis of operating and capital budgets
• Automate financial reporting and provide key metrics to inform senior leadership decision-making
• Prepare financial reports, journal entries, and year-end financial statement work papers
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform periodic analytical reviews
• Supervise and review miscellaneous cash deposits
• Prepare aging reports and manage collection activities for non-student accounts receivable

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• 1-3 years of progressive experience working with GAAP and budgets in a finance or accounting role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with expert-level skills in Excel
• Strong mathematical and computational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive finance or accounting experience
• Previous experience working in a higher education or non-profit setting
