Finance and Accounting Associate

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Perform complex account reconciliations and variance analysis across consolidated groups
• Manage cost accounting, project-based reporting, and government-required reporting
• Support budgeting, multi-year forecasting, and rolling cash flow projections
• Develop and implement frameworks for AI adoption and automation within finance operations
• Maintain accounting policies and internal controls for compliance with U.S. GAAP and DCAA standards
• Mentor and develop Junior Associate-level team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years of accounting and finance experience
• Experience with multi-entity structures, government contracting, or investment entities
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and DCAA compliance
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot)
• Ability to work onsite in Tysons, VA five days a week

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CMA certification
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint or Deltek Vantagepoint
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or Enterprise Suite
• Proficiency with Power BI or Tableau
• Familiarity with SEC reporting concepts
