Finance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead project forecast reviews using historical and trending data to validate forecasts
• Support the Operations team by identifying, quantifying, and communicating financial risks and opportunities
• Manage employee performance through clear communication of expectations, coaching, and feedback
• Prepare client invoicing, manage accounts receivable and revenue, and review monthly project cash flow projections
• Review prime contracts and change orders, including insurance, taxes, payment terms, and labor laws
• Implement internal controls and serve as the primary contact for internal or external financial audits
• Drive continuous improvement and foster cohesion between finance and operations teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of financial or data analysis experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent degree
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and tax
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically with Pivot Tables and V-Look Ups
• Experience utilizing complex ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI to present complex analyses
• Ability to travel to job sites within BC or AB as required
