Finance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets and forecasts for the Japan market, including system uploads, reconciliation, and validation
• Prepare financial reports and analyze business performance to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Act as a business partner by collaborating with Asia Pacific Finance and local teams to provide actionable insights
• Participate in regional finance projects to improve efficiency, controls, and quality
• Collaborate with the local accounting team to ensure monthly accounts are accurate and complete
• Respond to ad hoc queries and financial analyses, prioritizing effectively to ensure timely delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Native or business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
• 3+ years of experience in management reporting and financial analysis (retail industry experience preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills with experience building and managing complex financial models and large datasets
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data quickly
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and a focus on continuous process improvement
