Finance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact with third-party accounting service providers
• Review and validate journal entries, ledger postings, and bank reconciliations
• Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Review employee expense submissions for policy compliance and correct coding
• Support monitoring of own funds, liquidity requirements, and local regulatory filings
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements
• Coordinate with service providers to gather audit working papers for statutory audits
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in internal finance procedures and controls
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and funding requests for legal entities

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, ideally in financial or professional services
• Hands-on experience with a tier-1 ERP system (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle)
• Strong understanding of journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
• Proven ability to review intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations
• Competent in Microsoft Excel with ability to handle large data sets
• Working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and/or IFRS
• Basic awareness of UK VAT requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Knowledge of LUX GAAP, IFRS, or US GAAP
• Exposure to management reporting and cost centre analysis
• Experience with intercompany eliminations and group consolidation
• Experience with PowerQuery or Alteryx
