Finance Analyst 1

Responsibilities

• Support heavy civil construction projects through accounting and finance functions including cost control, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable
• Manage payroll and HR process workflows, including hiring, transferring, and terminating employees
• Maintain purchasing workflow internal controls and troubleshoot vendor or payment issues
• Assist with intercompany and client billing to ensure timely and accurate documentation for cash management
• Review costs, budget structures, and exception reports to ensure accurate financial reporting for management
• Identify and adjust forecast and budget issues within cost reports to confirm proper revenue recognition
• Collaborate with the Operations team to foster strong working relationships and understand project needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or an equivalent degree
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• 0-2 years of financial or data analysis experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables and V-Look Ups)
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to travel and relocate as business needs require
• Ability to access all parts of a construction site in various climates and environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship experience in a professional business or finance setting
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
