About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and own advanced machine learning and statistical models to inform corporate financial planning, capital allocation, and strategic risk assessment.
  • Develop predictive and generative AI systems for financial forecasting, scenario analysis, anomaly detection, and portfolio optimization.
  • Build and maintain production-ready ML pipelines, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Translate complex business problems into mathematically rigorous AI/ML solutions with quantifiable impact.
  • Partner with finance leadership, data engineering, and technology teams to integrate AI/ML outputs into decision-making workflows.
  • Establish model governance practices, including interpretability, bias assessment, and auditability frameworks.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a rigorous, intellectually demanding team culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, Quantitative Finance, or a highly quantitative discipline (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • 5–7+ years of experience building and deploying advanced AI/ML solutions in production environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python.
  • Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
  • Strong experience with SQL and probabilistic programming (e.g., Pyro, Stan).
  • Deep knowledge of causal inference and time-series analysis.
  • Proven track record of owning complex end-to-end ML projects from ideation to business impact.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain sophisticated models to executive leadership.
