Finance & Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Own all Accounts Receivable entries, customer billing, and invoice accuracy in QuickBooks
• Proactively coordinate with customers on outstanding balances and lead collections
• Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts on schedule
• Prepare and file sales tax accurately and on time across applicable jurisdictions
• Manage and develop one direct report (Junior Accountant)
• Escalate financial anomalies such as refusal of receipts or profit margin shifts immediately

Requirements

• CPA certification (non-negotiable)
• High accuracy in QuickBooks data entry
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable, billing, and customer collections
• Experience with bank and credit card reconciliation
• Ability to work night shifts to support Canadian operations
• Strong ownership mentality and proactive problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a SaaS, tech, or high-growth company finance team
• Familiarity with Canadian tax or cross-border billing requirements
• Prior experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff
• Experience communicating directly with customers or external stakeholders
