About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage administrative, student, and faculty-facing operations for the undergraduate and graduate Film and Media Studies program
- Assist with class scheduling, maintaining curricular requirements, managing awards, and graduation certification
- Maintain student listservs, event calendars, and shared digital archives
- Manage the program's operational budget, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial reports
- Coordinate faculty searches and support the graduate student admissions process
- Manage website updates in collaboration with the Office of Communications
- Serve as the primary liaison for planning and implementing public events, conferences, and orientations
- Coordinate logistics for visiting speakers, including travel and accommodations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent related experience
- Minimum of 2 years of related administrative or program management experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational, proofreading, and editing skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information and work with diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Knowledge of cinema and cinema history
