Filler Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate gable-top carton filling and packaging equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and food safety requirements (GMP)
• Collect product samples and perform seal integrity and dye inspections for quality assurance
• Set up packaging coders and validate product codes against specifications
• Perform routine equipment adjustments, change-overs, and CIP/SIP cleaning
• Complete production records and documentation accurately
• Operate lift trucks safely and perform environmental controls
• Identify and communicate any out-of-specification product conditions immediately

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing (dairy experience preferred)
• Working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms such as SQF, HACCP, and GMP
• Ability to lift up to 40-lbs frequently throughout a 12-hour shift
• Strong technical skills to operate equipment controls and touch panels
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced quality or food safety training and/or certifications
• Previous experience with lift truck (Powered Industrial Truck) operation
