Field Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support lab integration, platform integration, and flight test events at NAWS China Lake
• Perform flight line missile and equipment preparation, including captive carry and live fire testing
• Monitor weapon telemetry in a control room environment and conduct data review
• Use COMSEC equipment, AIS computers, and telemetry equipment for test implementation
• Maintain and reconfigure munitions and perform flight line operations
• Provide technical results for complex problems under general direction

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or Math)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a test environment with an emphasis on planning or implementation
• Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. Citizenship
• Experience in at least four areas: Hardware Systems Integration, Platform Integration, Field Test support, Telemetry Analysis, Requirements Evaluation, Troubleshooting, Lab/Field Test equipment, or Verification and Validation
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and work in an industrial environment
• Ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of relevant electronic, computer, or mechanical experience
• Intermediate engineering skills with laboratory test equipment, electronics, and software
• Experience with Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and classified computer security
• Experience with telemetry data analysis software and missile systems host platforms
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in multi-disciplined teams
