Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Collect soils, asphalt, or concrete samples in the field
• Perform standard tests and complete reports of findings
• Upload project documents online
• Communicate findings with the project manager
• Provide assistance with special projects as needed

Requirements

• Excellent mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail and basic computer skills
• Current valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Soils field testing experience
• Current radiation user safety certificate
• Knowledge of standard test methods for field density testing (soil utility backfill, mass grading, paving subgrade)
• Proof-rolling observation experience
• Asphalt production and density testing experience
• Field concrete sampling and testing experience
• ACI Field I certification
• WAQTC certifications
