Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, installation, repair, and preventative maintenance for MFN2, FAA, FTI, ADS-B, and other Field Services programs.
• Work at remote customer locations in a scheduled and on-call capacity within the Florida Panhandle.
• Read and interpret equipment drawings and task orders to ensure accurate service delivery.
• Document all field activities, including detailed notes on troubleshooting and completed tasks.
• Coordinate with the NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk via telephone to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, parts, and truck stock inventory.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 32 lbs and using ladders or step stools to reach heights of approximately 10 feet.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate Degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust Clearance.
• Ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours, including on-call shifts and emergency responses.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, or A+.
• Working knowledge of network topology, fiber, Multiplexes, and SONET Network Technology.
• Experience with IP-based configuration of routers and switches.
• Proficiency with network test equipment (e.g., JDSU HST, Digital Oscilloscope) and circuit testing (T1, DS3, BERT).
• Knowledge of power testing, including AC/DC and 3-Phase AC.
• Experience installing equipment racks in various environments.
