Responsibilities
- Coordinate with vessel crews and port agents to schedule attendances
- Conduct sampling aboard ocean-going vessels, harbor craft, and land-based facilities
- Transport collected samples to the laboratory for analysis
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to maintain sample integrity and prevent contamination
- Follow all relevant safety protocols in port and industrial environments
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in chemistry, microbiology, environmental science, or a relevant field
- 1+ years of applicable experience
- Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely
- Strong oral and written communication skills
